Playing with water: share your memories!
About this Event
Did you play in the Barmston Drain as a child (and get told off by your parents for coming home covered in mud)? Have you ever caught a whopper in the River Hull? Maybe you've even sailed down the inundated streets of Hull during a flood? However you've found fun in water, we want to hear from you! In this memory cafe, we'll be sharing happy stories about what it's like to make the most of rivers, drains, puddles and pools in Hull, using historic pictures, maps, and accounts in our nostalgic quest. Those who wish to are welcome to bring photographs or other materials, but all you need to get stuck in are your memories, and a willingness to chat.
Open to adults 16+, and we welcome attendees of all ages: a memory is a memory, no matter how recent!
