Playing with Power - a one day workshop
An introduction to the art of power dynamics - beyond the stereotypes - to build deeper intimacy, connection and trust
Power play can be a dance - a creative exchange of energy, presence, and desire.
It can involve leather and chains... it can involve eroticism and sexual desire...
... it can also be soft and sensual...
... it can be primal and animalistic...
... it can be silly and playful...
... it can be a platonic and non-sexual...
... it can be a playground for embodying different parts...
... and as many other flavours as your mind can imagine.
In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore D/s (Dominant/submissive) dynamics as a pathway to build deeper intimacy, connection and trust.
Through guided exercises and partnered practices, you’ll discover what it feels like to step fully into your power as a leader - and what it feels like to melt open in surrender. You’ll experience the freedom of holding all the power, and the freedom of letting it go.
We’ll cover foundations of communication, consent, negotiation, and safety - and playfully experiment with different archetypes and energies to befriend different parts of yourself and find what resonates most with you. You’ll practice recognising what “yes” and “no” feel like in your body, voicing your desires, and honouring your boundaries.
This is an introduction to the D/s aspects of BDSM, approached through curiosity, embodiment, and creativity.
Come solo, or with a friend or partner.
During this one day workshop you will:
Explore Dominance and submission beyond the stereotypes, finding what’s authentic to you
Discover what it feels like to step into your power as a leader - and what it feels like to melt open in surrender
Explore different parts of yourself, play with different energies and build self trust
Build skills in communication, safety, attunement, and boundary-setting - that support deeper intimacy and connection in all kinds of connection and play (not just D/s)
This workshop is open to all genders, orientations, and experience levels. There will be no nudity or explicit sexual touch.
