Playful Green Planet: Newcastle

Join us to celebrate the launch of Tyneside’s Playful Green Planet: an RSA initiative blending urban nature, creative play, and environmental regeneration.

This event will be an opportunity to meet with the representatives of all parties involved in Playful Green Planet Tyneside and learn more about the aims and future of the project, while enjoying a drink and a small buffet. Please note a contribution towards the drink and buffet will be requested.

The RSA Journal Issue 3 2024 included an article titled ‘The Play’s The Thing’ introducing Playful Green Planet – an RSA intervention focussed on urban nature-based creative play, targeting socioeconomic disparity and environmental regeneration.

This event stems from an open call for a one-off BT grant that went out to different organisations in Newcastle through Newcastle City Council on behalf of North East Community Forest Partnership. The winning applicant for the grant was Ouseburn Farm, who are a free community farm in the heart of Newcastle.

The RSA's Head of Strategic Impact and PGP Network manager, Rachel Grice, will be attending to give an update on the latest PGP progress.
