Play with Clay: Mini Cactus Pots

Join Leeds-based ceramicist Niamh Phillips for a creative workshop that encourages experimentation and play—perfect for beginners! Niamh will guide you through every step, from the first pinch of clay to the final carved detail.

In this fun, relaxed session, you will Create a Pair of Cactus Pots using hand-building techniques of pinching, moulding, and carving before experimenting with a variety of slip-coloured glazes. You’ll then use the sgraffito method of decoration to carve unique patterns into the surface, revealing the clay beneath

Fire: After the workshop, your pots will be bisque-fired, dipped in a clear glaze, and given a final firing to ensure a professional, glossy finish.

Collect: Your finished pieces will be ready to collect from the Bowery approximately 3 weeks after the workshop.
