Step into a space where the pulse of the music becomes your heartbeat, and movement is your meditation.
This is not your average Ecstatic Dance.
We mix the beauty of Ecstatic Dance with Techno, earth-shaking Tribal and spiraling Trance frequencies.
This evening is a sanctuary for self-expression and designed to completely lose your mind in the music.
No substances and no dance experience needed: Just your energy and presence.

Practical information:
- Please bring your own cup/bottle for the water and tea we will provide for free.
- Other (alcohol-free) drinks are available at the bar.
- You are just as welcome to come on your own as to come with friends!
Even though you can move as freely as you want, there are some guidelines everyone must follow:
- We dance barefoot (or on socks).
- No talking on the dancefloor: Making sounds is allowed!
- No alcohol or other substances: We will provide you with as much water and tea as you need.
- No electronic devices: You can store all your devices safely in the dressing room.

Times:
- Entry from 18:30 until 19:30 - Take this moment to land in the space (talking is still allowed here), drink some cacao (we will not provide a cacao ceremony, but we do provide cacao) and chill before the opening ceremony starts. DOORS CLOSE 19:30! Joining later is not possible.
- Silent space & opening ceremony with Bart & Pia from 19.30 to 19.50
- RAVING with DJ Sefrijn from 19.50 to 21.50
- Live music with Vera from 21.50 to 22.05
- Closing circle from 22.05 to 22.15
- Chill space from 22.15 to 23.00
The Ecstatic Rave will be hosted once every 2 months, keep an eye on our Hipsy page!
Location:
ATTENTION! The Ecstatic Rave will be hosted at Jonkvrouw Sanderijndreef 35, this is not the usual Play location you might be used to. From Utrecht Centraal you can take multiple buses that stop in front of the location.
Parking:
If you come with car, you can park your car for free at Shoppingcenter Overvecht, from there it is a 3 minute walk.

About DJ Sefrijn: For the past 8 years Sefrijn's musical focus has been Ecstatic Dance, catalysing this growing movement by playing at countless locations. DJ sets are always created in the moment, his music is carefully selected to offer diversity in genres, emotions and speed.
Sefrijn is known for embodying the music behind the decks, dancing along and attuning to the people. As a classically trained pianist he combines technical musical knowledge with a deep love for intuitive improvisation. Expect an energetic journey through Tribal House, Shamanic Techno, Global Bass, Afro House, Amapiano and UK Funky. Sprinkle some Cosmic Funk and euphoric Drum & Bass on top. Ancient grooves meet modern rave energy, a playground for your primal spirit.
About Bart & Pia: Bart and Pia are honoured to be your facilitators for this Ecstatic Rave evening.
- Bart loves some psytrance and techno to completely lose his mind to. He has been dancing Ecstatic Dance for a couple of years now and is super excited to combine the energy of Ecstatic Dance with that of a rave. His facilitation style can be described as warm, open and energetic.
- Pia loves music that can guide her through a journey. She is excited about creating a sober rave atmosphere with natural energy highs. Her facilitation style varies from soft to energetic and everything in between.
