ABOUT THIS SHOW:
Roxanne is in charge of running the understudy rehearsal for the Broadway premiere of Franz Kafka’s undiscovered masterpiece. But the understudy is her former fiancé, and the lead is a movie actor star yearning for legitimacy. Did we mention that the lightboard operator may be stoned and the producers constantly threaten to shutter the show? Teresa Rebeck’s script is a comic love letter to the art of Broadway.
