This is a Save the Date for an exciting event we are hosting on September 27th 2025!In September, Safe Families Canada Hamilton Halton is hosting our Annual PLAY DAY fundraiser. Last year was our first Annual Play Day Park Clean up event. We were very excited to see communities across Hamilton and Halton work together to clean up the places we play! 4 teams cleaned 4 parks and met back at Dundas Driving Park for a BBQ.
This year we hope to triple the amount of parks cleaned and we NEED your help!
By the middle - end of June, all teams who register will be provided with a link on Canada Helps to create a fundraising page, along with letters and pledge forms for the team members to use to fundraise in their communities.
In September, we will deliver your clean up packs! These will include, gloves, garbage and recycling bags, garbage grabbers and community event signs.
The week of September 21st, (many will clan the morning of September 27th), you will take your team to the park of choice and give it your best clean! Afterwards, we will gather for a BBQ / fun fair which will be free for all who cleaned a park.
The BBQ and Fun fair will be open to the public and we can't wait to celebrate and have fun with everyone in our community!
PLAY DAY - Clean the places we play! 2025 has the possibility to engage your community in helping us to make our city a more beautiful place to play. We hope that PLAY DAY can be an incredible opportunity for your groups to come together, work together and play together, and to take part in a valuable and missional experience to start off the school year.
