Justice by Design is a hands-on engineering workshop for young people and their families to tackle a real-world tech design challenge — all through a human-centered lens. Get ready to get creative build prototypes think critically and reflect on how tech can drive equity and belonging in your community. Together we’ll explore design for social justice and discover how to turn big ideas into action.
Time: 11am-12pm
Cost: Free
Ages: Geared towards ages 7-14 (Whole family and all ages
welcome)
*Please note that because this lecture will be more of a hands-on workshop there will not be another activity after the event.
The MCYU Family Lecture Series is a free monthly event on McMaster's main campus. These lectures are geared toward young individuals ages 7–14 and cover all science technology engineering arts and math (STEAM) topics. The lectures are presented by post-secondary professors who are experts in their field. This is an opportunity for all young individuals to experience what it feels like to be a university student.
