Platte River Cleanup - Denver
About this Event
Join Women in Sustainability, Patagonia Denver, The Giving Forward Project and Denver Parks & Rec for the biggest river cleanup of the year!!
Last year, 80+ of you showed up and cleaned up a record-breaking 690 pounds of trash in under two hours. This time? We’re coming back for more, and we want to beat that number!
Meeting area below REI next to the river (shoemaker plaza) - you can park on the street or at REI (pay parking).
What to Bring:
- Sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water
- Closed-toe shoes and clothes for sun exposure
- Gardening gloves (or borrow a pair from us!)
- Your river-cleanin’ enthusiasm
👉 We’ve got you covered with buckets, pickers, gloves, and trash bags, just show up and we’ll get you geared up.
Good to Know:
This event is kid-friendly and pet-friendly (as long as they're not causing problems, and you understand the risk, safety is your responsibility. Pets must be leashed).
Parents/guardians will need to sign a waiver for minors onsite with Denver Parks & Rec.
Bonus Goodies!
We’ll have free giveaways, high fives, and community-powered joy. Bring a friend, or make a new one, and know you left the river better than you found it.
