The Community Ecology Institute has been awarded funding from the Chesapeake Bay Trust to plant trees to help improve our community's stormwater management system and ecosystem services! We are hosting a tree planting day on Saturday March 29 10:00a-3:00p at Freetown Farm (8000 Harriet Tubman Lane Columbia, MD 21044) and we want to see YOU there.
Please fill out the form to sign up for a day of site preparation and tree planting where you can learn more about native trees and how they help reduce flooding during times of heavy rains while having some fun with your community.
The trees are planned to be planted near Freetown Farm's George Washington Carver NAACP garden and our North property boundary.
