Gardening for Pollinators

Invite butterflies and other pollinators to your garden by providing habitat - shelter, water, continuous nectar and pollen sources, and a place to raise young.

In this workshop, participants will

• receive various handouts, including a list of native plants by bloom season, a laminated quad-fold field guide to Georgia butterflies, and a brochure on appropriate milkweed species for Georgia.
• take home at least six pollinator-friendly plants, including milkweed. Plant descriptions on each species will be provided.
• stuff milkweed fluff into a 4” grapevine ball to take home and hang outdoors as nesting material for birds.

This workshop consists of an hour PPT presentation followed by Q&A and hands-on activities.
