Planting Cover Crops in Your Garden at Division
About this Event
A cover crop is a quick growing crop that is planted primarily to keep soil covered for the winter before being cut down and chopped into the soil to add nutrients. Come learn from Chris of Portland Nursery about the many other benefits of growing cover crops in your home garden. He will discuss how to select the right cover crop for your space and needs, when and how to sow your seeds, and what to do with your cover crop in the spring.
***All classes at Division this fall will be held in our greenhouse Hoop House 2, which is located out in the yard of the nursery, near the trees and small fruits. It is a large greenhouse that functions as a covered outdoor area. If the weather is warm, we will have water available, but please remember to dress so that you are comfortable during the presentation.***
