Plant Medicine: All About Evergreens

In this class we will identify evergreens, especially pine, Eastern red cedar, and other evergreens that can be foraged for food, folk medicine, fire starters, and fiber crafts.

Expect to take a foraging walk of approximately a half mile on level ground, to learn about the benefits, how to identify, and what to forage on our native evergreens. 

The second half of our class will consist of making plant medicine with evergreens. We may share a recipe or two. The class will finish with a question and answer period.

We suggest you dress in layers, as SC Weather is variable.  Bring a note- taking device and take photos as well.
