Garden blooms galore at the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County annual Spring Plant Expo and Garden Market on Saturday May 4th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will be held RAIN OR SHINE at the Mercer Educational Gardens, 431A Federal City Road, Hopewell Township, on the grounds of Mercer County Stables.
Take a walk around the Mercer Educational Garden while shopping for homegrown plants grown by the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County and other plants provided by some amazing farms and nurseries.
Shop for native plants to build your own pollinator garden or pick up some organic tomato seedlings and plan your vegetable garden! Don't miss out on this annual event!
This year’s Expo will feature the always popular home-grown perennials, trees, and shrubs from the gardens of Rutgers Master Gardeners and a garden market with select vendors. This year’s vendors are Steven Kristoph Nursery, Millstone Township, NJ; Shannon’s Nursery, Doylestown, PA; Byrne Farm Market, Wrightstown, NJ; and Chickadee Creek Farm, Pennington, NJ. Meet these select growers and purchase a wide variety of native plants, woody ornamentals, perennials, annuals, tomatoes, veggies, and herbs. Plan to arrive early for the best selection! Rutgers Master Gardeners will be on hand to help you choose the right plant for the right place. County Horticulturist Justine Gray will be there to answer all your gardening questions.
