A Wednesday night that is actually worth getting off the couch for.

Here is what I know about Wednesday nights. 

They are the night everyone has good intentions about. The night you plan to do something for yourself. The night that somehow ends with you on the couch watching something you have already seen because getting out of the house felt like too much. 

This Wednesday is different. 

Plant Bingo is five rounds of bingo where every winner takes home a real plant. Every person at the door gets a reason to stay. Every woman in the room came because she decided this Wednesday was going to be the one she actually showed up for.

La Doña Cervecería, 241 Fremont Ave N, Minneapolis MN (parking is limited in front of the brewery, please utilize street parking or the pay lot)

$50 per ticket

Wednesday August 26. 7:00 to 8:30 PM. 

We have run Plant Bingo three times now. The room fills every single time.  

WHAT TO EXPECT:

You walk in. You get your bingo card. Five rounds. Each winner picks a plant. The plants are good – we do not mess around with the plants. 

Between rounds there is conversation, there is laughter, and there is the particular energy of a room full of women who decided they were worth a Wednesday night out. 

You can come alone. You will not feel alone for long. 

Doors open at 7:00 PM. We wrap by 8:30. Home by 9:00. Wednesday redeemed.

WHY THIS EXISTS:

I started Plant Bingo because I wanted a low-stakes reason for women to get out of the house and be around people who are glad they showed up. 

Not a networking event. Not a workshop. Not something that requires you to be “on.” 

Just bingo. Just plants. Just a room where it is okay to be exactly where you are on a Wednesday night in August. 

That turns out to be exactly what women need.

FAQ:

Can I come alone? Yes. Most people do. Plant Bingo is one of the best events to come to alone because it gives you something to do with your hands while you meet people. 

What kind of plants are the prizes? Real, living houseplants. We curate them. They are worth winning. 

Is this women-only? No. Come Alone Summer is a women-forward series. All are welcome!

What if I do not win a plant? You still leave with a Wednesday night you actually liked. That is not nothing. 

What should I wear? Whatever you would wear to a fun Wednesday night out. No dress code. 

What is your refund policy? Tickets are refundable up to 24 hours prior to the event, but transferable. Email [email protected] with the name change. 

Is there parking?

• Street Parking: Ample street spaces run along Fremont Ave N and the intersecting 2nd Ave N directly bordering the venue.
• Nearby Commuter Lots: For larger public events, downtown municipal options like the Basilica Lot (located at 13 N 17th St) are situated just over a mile east of the brewery and offer free or paid parking depending on the day.
