Nutrition can be confusing! In this foundation class, we will discuss the benefits of a plant-based diet, the plant-based food pyramid, macronutrients, and what to eat versus what should be avoided. We will compare and contrast a plant-based diet with the standard Western diet. Learn how easy it is to achieve optimum nutrition from a plant-based diet. While not a weight-loss diet where you need to count calories, fat grams, or carbohydrates, you will learn how a plant-based diet can help you achieve and maintain your ideal weight. We will highlight basic facts to help make it easier to understand nutrition. This class and the information provided does not take the place of your physician's advice.
