Planning for Transitioning Farmland to Non-Family Successors

Have you already gone through a farmland transition with someone who is not a family member? Or are you an aspiring farmer seeking a creative solution to the challenges of accessing a farm?

If you answered yes, this event is for you! Join us to discuss the questions, challenges, and specific needs that you are experiencing with this process and help us gather information for a non-family farm transition toolkit. During the session, we'll address questions like:

• How can the National Farmers Union of Ontario best support retiring and aspiring farmers?

The session is free and there will be refreshments courtesy of Kemptville Brewing Company, a speaker presentation, and peer-to-peer discussion about non-family succession planning.

The information gathered from this discussion will help the NFU-O develop a new Non-Family Transition Toolkit for Ontario farmers, inspired by the Young Agrarians Non-Family Transition Toolkit (2020)
