Planning for Habitat in Regenerative Agriculture

@ TerraPurezza in Spicewood, TX | Saturday April 12th | 8am-5pm

Regenerative agriculture improves soil health, sequesters carbon, and enhances water quality—but it also plays a key role in supporting biodiversity. By creating and preserving habitat, these practices strengthen ecosystems and wildlife populations.

This workshop highlights the work of Tina and Orion Weldon of TerraPurezza, who use multi-species livestock (sheep, chickens, and pigs) to produce high-quality meat while restoring the land. Their efforts at Willie Nelson’s Luck Ranch demonstrate how agriculture and conservation can go hand in hand.

Join us at Luck Ranch to learn from the Weldons and educators from SPI, the Wildlife Habitat Federation, the Audubon Society, and USDA NRCS.

WORKSHOP TOPICS INCLUDE:

• Grazing to build biodiversity

• Habitat management practices

• Native grassland restoration

• Improving soil health

• Birds as indicator species

• A look at horned lizard habitat requirements

• Funding opportunities and technical assistance for producers

Cost: $20 | Lunch Provided
