Have you ever been interested in making your own spiritual oils but weren’t sure how to start? Or maybe you have made oils but weren’t satisfied with the results? Maybe you even might have wondered if there was a way to make oils that are more powerful? Then this class is for you!We are going to start with the basics of oil making in the tradition of oil making as our ancestors would have made them. We will discuss which carrier oils should be used, ingredients and how to resource them. We will discuss foraging herbs and how to dry them for use in oils. We will even discuss scenting your oils and will get into using the basics of perfuming to help you choose the right combination of scents for your oils. We will discuss storage for your oils and how to bottle oils once they are ready for use.
Herbalists have known for centuries that there is a major association between plants and the sun, moon, and planets. Witches have also known since the beginning of time that the elements are also associated with plants. You will learn how to harness these energies to make your oils powerful.
Best of all, we will be starting an oil together and all of you will get to make your own oil and take it home! I will provide all ingredients and the jars. In addition, all who attend will receive a PDF booklet which is full of helpful hints and recipes for getting you started in making oils at home!
Rev. Sharon Ross is a long-time solitary eclectic witch, herbalist, rootworker, and metaphysician. She is the owner of Bayou Seawitch Apothecary LLC which makes oils for all realms of witchcraft as well as dusts, dirts, potpourris, and loose incense.
Rev. Sharon holds a bachelor's degree in Metaphysical Science with the University of Metaphysics and is currently working on her master's degree also in Metaphysical Science. She is also a Registered Metaphysican, a Certified Professional Herbalist, an Advanced Crystal Practitioner, an Usui Reiki Master/Instructor with further certification in Crystal and Sekhmet Reikis, and a Certified Tarot Master, and is also an ordained minister.
She is a member of American Rootwork Association, The Herb Society of America, The World Metaphysical Association, and The International Association of Reiki Professionals. Rev. Sharon and her husband live in Greencastle PA.
