We welcome all of you to join us for a community safety event geared towards service members, veterans, and their families!
The Plan. Pause. Protect. Campaign Ethos: Given the right set of circumstances, anyone can struggle with thoughts of suicide. This campaign works to raise awareness of suicide risk and provide resources for effective planning and safety considerations. We encourage a proactive approach to suicide prevention, so that everyone is prepared to protect life if/when a mental health crisis occurs.
EVENT WILL INCLUDE:
- Safety planning workshops: Complete a Gun Owner Safety Plan, Personal Safety Plan, and Firearm Inventory Record.
- Reasons for living artifact workshops: Create visual and audio reminders to pause and check-in on your mental health before accessing firearms. Photographers will be on-site to take photos, or you can bring your own digital image to print on-site!
- Safe storage demos and safety resource distribution
- FREE safe storage device distribution! All participants will receive firearm lock boxes and/or gun cable locks to take home.
- FREE refreshments
This event if FREE and open to everyone.
Firearms are prohibited at this event.
