As the holiday season approaches, we invite our Calaveras County community to join us in celebrating and supporting the local businesses that make our area unique. From November 29th through December 2nd, local shops, restaurants, and services will participate in a unique shopping weekend where you can find the perfect gifts, enjoy great food, and keep our local economy thriving!
When you shop small, you're not just making a purchase - you're helping neighbors, fostering community spirit, and ensuring that the charm and character of Calaveras County remain strong. Local businesses give back to our community in countless ways, and by choosing to support them, we strengthen our town's identity and keep our dollars circulating right here at home.

What is Plaid Season?
It is a shop local movement that celebrates the diversity and creativity of local, independent businesses. It's a fun and laid-back alternative to your typical Black Friday. Wearing plaid on Nov. 29th-12/2nd symbolizes your support for local businesses and the community. We have extended this event to last from Black Friday - Cyber Monday in order to incorporate families schedules and businesses hours!

What is this Form?
A way for your local business to share any promotions and sales you may be offering in-person at your store the day after Thanksgiving to the following Monday. (Friday, November 29 - Monday, December 2, 2024).
The Chamber of Commerce will post information about Plaid Season promotions and sales on its website, social media, and other local advertising avenues.
