🧣 PLAID FRIDAY at EllieAnna Gift Shop! 🧣
📅 Friday, November 27th — The Day After Thanksgiving!
Black Friday, but SMALL BUSINESS STYLE!
So, what exactly is Plaid Friday?
Plaid Friday is the small business alternative to Black Friday! The interwoven threads of plaid symbolize the importance of small businesses being woven into the fabric of our communities, and the communities that support them. ❤️
And that message is more important now than ever.
Let’s face it. Shopping online is EASY. We’re all guilty of it, ourselves included! A few clicks, and something shows up at your doorstep. But while online shopping might be convenient, there’s something it can’t replace — the locally owned businesses that give our communities their character.
Here’s the harsh reality: If you don’t support what you love, eventually it goes away.
Small businesses are struggling. Behind every locally owned shop are real people, families, dreams, long hours, and a whole lot of hard work. And every time you choose to spend your money locally, you’re helping keep those businesses, and the communities they serve, going strong.
Plaid Friday has been a tradition here at EllieAnna Gift Shop for years and years! And one of our absolute FAVORITE parts is seeing all of you walk through our doors wearing plaid!
Seriously, it makes us feel all warm and cozy inside knowing that you actually planned your outfit that morning to show your support for small businesses. It might seem like a little thing, but to us, it means SO much!
Now, can we compete with the crazy doorbusters and rock-bottom prices of the big box stores? Nope! And we’re not going to pretend we can.
BUT we CAN offer you something different! A shop filled with unique finds, locally made products, friendly faces, personal service, and the satisfaction of knowing your purchases make a real difference right here in our community.
And yes, we’ll have some GREAT Plaid Friday shopping incentives, too! We’ll share all those details as the day gets closer!
So this holiday season, we’re encouraging every single one of you to make a conscious effort to support the small businesses you love. Not just ours, but ALL the wonderful locally owned shops, restaurants, and businesses that make our communities what they are.
Put Friday, November 27th on your calendar, pick out your favorite plaid, and come spend Plaid Friday with us!
We can’t wait to see what you’re wearing! 🧣
