2-Hour Indoor Workshop – Get Comfortable With Your Dot Before Spring Range DaysIf you have (or are considering) a red-dot-equipped pistol, this indoor dry fire lab is the perfect way to build a strong foundation with your optic—without braving the cold or burning through ammo.
Participants will use their own unloaded handguns (made safe with barrel blocks and other dry-fire safety devices) or loaner guns from us.
We'll dive into how red dot sights work, explore the major variations (open vs. enclosed emitters, window sizes, dot sizes like 2-6 MOA, popular models such as Trijicon RMR, Holosun, and Aimpoint ACRO), and discuss their pros and cons (faster target acquisition and single focal plane vs. battery dependency, potential for lens obstruction in open designs, and added cost).
We'll address the most common challenges new red dot users face—such as struggling to find the dot quickly on presentation, inconsistent draws, and excessive dot movement due to grip or trigger issues—and provide personalized coaching to help you overcome them faster.
This hands-on lab is individualized: we'll meet you at your current skill level, diagnose inefficiencies in your presentation and dry fire technique using your own equipment, and fine-tune them with targeted drills for quicker, more consistent dot acquisition.
Leave with a deeper understanding of red dot optics, practical solutions to typical pitfalls, and the confidence to make your first live-fire sessions feel smooth and intuitive.
