Start at Ansots with a pintxo-pote — a spread of Basque pintxos, the small plates that define San Sebastián's food culture. Then walk over to The Flicks for a screening of DONOSTIA, followed by a Q&A with writer-director Daniel Cummings.
On a short trip to Donostia, Spain, Anna struggles with the recent loss of her mother and the quiet unraveling of her long-term relationship.
Shot entirely on location in San Sebastián, DONOSTIA is an intimate drama about grief, distance, and the ordinary way a life together can quietly come to an end. The film won Best Cinematography at the 2026 Las Cruces International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Narrative Feature at the Flagstaff International Film Festival, with official selections including the San Antonio Film Festival, Torino Underground Cinefest, and the Veneto International Film Festival.
