FAQ’s:
Is it fun?
Heck yes it’s fun! I’m your emcee providing commentary throughout the racing event, so be ready to have your car and "racing skills" roasted, and feel free to roast me while I’m on stage! Don't forget about grudge matches with your friends and family to win bragging rights until next year's races!
Do I need to build a car?
No, you can just show up to hang out and watch, but it’s more fun to race! Or, if you want, you can race one of our cars for an additional $20 donation - so that's $70 with the package deal or $50 without the package deal.
How much does it cost? $50 for the full package – includes car kit, commemorative pint glass, and 3 beer/soda tickets. $30 to just supply your own car kit and race it.
What’s Stock Class and Outlaw Class?
Stock class means you need to follow the rules included in the car kit. Outlaw class is basically no rules, except: no combustibles, no compressed gasses, and you need to stay within the dimensions stated in the car kit rules just to ensure the car will run down the track.
Will there be food there?
Yes, the VFW will have their kitchen open, so expect greasy burgers, fries, and the likes.
Does this go to a good cause?
Yep, it sure does – all proceeds will be donated by “The Friends of Pack 39” to the Collinsville Cub Scout Pack 39.
Can I bring a date?
If you have one, sure – spectators are more than welcome!
