Pints and Prints: Seasonal Printmaking Workshop

Join artist Madison Laidlaw at Brewery Faisan for a fun-filled event where you can sip on delicious brews while getting crafty. Together as a class we will make seasonal pendant garland using your clasmates as well as your own hand carved stamps. In this beginner workshop you will carve and hand print your designs on 5 triangle pendants to string on 30" garland. Ticket includes carving/printing supplies, print materials, 2 hours instruction and a pint of beer. You will leave this workshop with your hand printed pendant garland, your carved stamp and the knowledge to keep on printing. No art or craft experience required. Just come with an indea and be ready for the magic of printmaking.

Info: Class will start with a short demo of the drawing and transferring process as well as some carving tips to get you started.

Info: This portion of the class students will work on their projects at their own pace. You will spend this time drawing and carving your design with plenty of opportunities for one-on-one guidance every step of the way.

Info: Students will take a break from where they are at in their projects for a print demo. Some students may be ready to print, some might still be carving. Both types of students will have time to finish their projects.

Info: At this time printing supplies will be out for use for students who are ready for that step. The tools and black and white ink will be available to all students.
