Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival (Leyte) – Celebrates the ancient tattooed warriors (“Pintados”) with colorful body paint and dances.
The festival merges two cultural celebrations—the Pintados Festival, honoring the pre-Hispanic tattooed warriors known for their courage and status, and the Kasadyaan Festival, which translates to “merriment” in Visayan. Together, they form a dazzling cultural-religious celebration held annually on June 29 in honor of Señor Santo Niño .
