On December 4th, 2023 from 6 p.m. on the market square in the middle of the old townWhether the town hall, the Hercules Fountain or the Church of the Holy Spirit: On Pink Monday, the Heidelberg market square shines completely in pink for an evening. Residents and guests meet with the queer community to celebrate together.
The Church of the Holy Spirit opens its doors in the evening and shines in bright pink not only outside but also inside out of solidarity and as a sign of tolerance. Admission is free.
This year there will also be the “Pink Mulled Wine” created especially for Pink Monday by the Adam Müller winery and of course the 2023 special edition of the “Pink Monday Christmas cup”. The cups have long since become collector's items and are automatically purchased when you buy your first pink mulled wine.
Pink Monday has now become a cult event at the Christmas market, which not only the LGBT+ community but all visitors look forward to. Every year it is colorful, diverse, always brings a good mood and a large amount of donations for AIDS-Hilfe Heidelberg. This is only possible through the entire team that organizes, co-finances and supports the event. These include, above all, the support association of AIDS-Hilfe Heidelberg eV, Heidelberg Marketing GmbH, Fahrwerk Ambient Marketing and the Adam Müller winery.
To get you in the mood for Pink Monday, a QueerTour Heidelberg will take place on December 4th at 3:30 p.m. A tour of the old town with a focus on “Heidelberg and homosexual history”, which begins at Karlsplatz (Cabriobus stop) and ends on the market square just in time for the opening of Pink Monday.
