P.I.N.K. Is Our Power: Breast Cancer Solidarity Walk & Luncheon

Fairfax Church of Christ will host our first commuity breast cancer awareness event on Saturday, October 18th, starting with a solidarity walk followed by mammogram screenings, educational panel discussions and a nutritious lunch! This community event will highlight BOTH male and female breast cancer. While male breast cancer accounts for less than one percent of all breast cancer diagnoses, it is vital for men understand how important it is to receive screenings.

Our solidarity walk will begin at 10:30am where together, we walk to honor survivors/thrivers & those we have lost to breast cancer. *Special Note: As an alternative to the solidarity walk, we will offer chair yoga inside to give everyone a chance to exercise if you are physically unable to participate in the walk.

After the solidarity walk and a delicious lunch, be prepared to hear from male and female breast cancer survivors, inspirational speakers and health experts as they discuss breast cancer prevention tips along with what to do after a breast cancer diagnosis. There will also be important information for caregivers on how to care for your loved one as well as yourself during breast cancer treatment.
