8 weeks of regular season play, 4 games per week. Your best 6 weeks are compared with everyone else's best six weeks, pingolf style, 4 games per week.The top 16 at the end of the season play in the finals, and the next 16 will play in a B-Division (non-IFPA), both scheduled to happen Saturday, May 3rd @ 1PM. It will be matchplay grouping, pingolf scoring, top 2 advance in each round. The highest seed in each group selects games and order, but cannot select the same game more than once at any point.
This is also a team event. The top 4 teams after 8 weeks of play will also square off in the finals, also scheduled to take place the same day @ 10AM.
======= SIDE NOTE ========
Due to IFPA rules, we are not allowed to have a pingolf league larger than 49 players, which simultaneously hurts our business and doesn't help foster growth of the sport. I do not know why the IFPA makes such rules seemingly arbitrarily, but we are forced to recognize them if want to participate.
That being said, we now must have (*sigh...*) a sign up for this league beginning on Saturday, February 1st. It will be posted on Facebook and in the newsletter (sign up @ www.ThePinballCoOp.com) and will remain open until the league fills, capped at 49 players.
Thank you IFPA for making things difficult, giving me extra work for seemingly no reason, and eliminating opportunities for your own player base.
