Our Naturalists are offering classes this winter on pine needle basketry! Learn the basic skills and techniques it takes to make a beautiful basket! We will provide the materials needed for this class and get a basket started for you. During the class, we will teach you the skills to make a basket from beginning to end. The possibilities are endless once you learn the art of pine needle basketry with us!

To make this basket personal, we ask YOU to collect a bundle of Long Leaf Pine needles prior to class. The bundle should be approximately 2 inches in diameter, of 12 - 18 inch Long Leaf Pine needles (longer is better). Please collect brown fallen needles, not green needles off trees.
