On the eve of Summer, PinDrop in association with good friends Lost in the Woods bring an evening of experimental and ethereal live music to Cafe Etch, Middlesbrough marking PinDrop's 170th event, and the first colab with LITW, bizzarely :) presenting;

Lim Orion is a multidisciplinary artist based in London - Using saxophone, electric guitar and voice to explore melody and songs rooted in a love of ambient & experimental music, pop and grunge. Orion’s paintings and videos are part of the expression of these musical stories which often call on dreams, emotions, and sci-fi and myth.

Trip hop was born in Bristol ~ that bohemian, multi-ethnic city where restlessly inventive DJs spent years assembling samples from groove-heavy acid jazz, dub, neo-psychedelia and brainy art rap into something the world had never quite heard before. The Bristol sound has been described as “possessing a darkness that is uplifting, a joyful melancholy.”
Bellyful are the inheritors of that proud tradition. Self-described neo trip hop, they drag the genre’s smoky atmospheres and hypnotic slow-burn rhythms into the present - a sound rooted in one of Britain’s great musical cities, evolving into something entirely their own.

Born sixteen years ago from a simple love of creating songs, The Woven Project are a fluid collective whose melancholic folk-ambient sound weaves acoustic warmth with atmospheric electronica - a lo-fi intimacy that has drawn comparisons to the best of the North East’s rich musical tradition. Having played the very first PinDrop event, their return from hibernation for this landmark 170th show feels like the closing of a beautifully crafted circle.
