This is our 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW, so expect the unexpected with a diverse bill that'll surprise audiences and bring together disparate artistic communities!

Featuring the dizzying talents of:

• is a ballet illusion, a collective of dancers telling timeless stories with contemporary twists, leaps, and stretches of the imagination. We value dancers of all levels and ages. Dances with Swans at Dusk will descend upon Pinch Cabaret for its 52nd iteration, representing an excerpt from our version of Swan Lake, which is set to premiere in November this year.
• is most known for her genre-blending unabashed, experimental live performances. Every tool in the kit is used to craft whimsical, surreal, and engaging storytelling, improvisation and music. Something will happen and there will be music, possibly screaming, rated R for Ronley and definitely a puppet. 
• has a degree in Neuroscience and Geoscience and a lifelong obsession with art. She is an educational YouTuber who tries to make learning advanced biology, anatomy, and physiology topics fun and easy to learn through engaging animations and songs. Viola will read some of her original anatomy poetry to show a different way to learn!
• is a bass clarinetist committed to curiosity, connection, and artistic discovery. is a composer and media artist exploring sound in space and non-space. Together David and Kathryn will make improvised music featuring bass clarinet and synthesizer. 
• is an internationally produced, award-winning playwright, director, actor, and everything in between. Her practice spans both traditional and non-traditional theatre, looking for new challenges in every project. Jenn Weatherall is an actor, playwright, artist, muralist and mom. She spent her twenties attending George Brown Theatre School and running away to NYC. In her thirties she made two beautiful babies. And in her forties she recovered from adulting and got back to who she is at her core...an artist. Kriegspiel, a short play written by Maria Colonescu; performed by Jenn Weatherall and Maria Colonescu. Over a game of chess, Alex and Chris will find out if all is - actually - fair in love and war.
• is well summed up by their cover photo on The Community Edition this past July: big smile, posing with a bike, talking about their love of gritty cities. Former chef and some-day dog owner, Julie is a visual artist and the Executive Director of CAFKA – Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener and Area. Julie is our door-person, presenting an interactive segment on public art in celebration of CAFKA's 25th anniversary.

Ben Gorodetsky (he/they)is a performance maker, filmmaker, writer, and producer based in Kitchener, Ontario. They are the creator and former host of experimental variety show Dirt Buffet Cabaret, and former technical director at NYC burlesque theatre Duane Park. His performance work has been presented by The Art Gallery of Ontario, CAFKA, Femme Folks Fest, LUMEN, Open Ears, Movement Research at Judson Church, The Tank NYC, Mile Zero Dance, Guelph Dance Festival, Hillside Fest, Brian Webb Dance Company, Expanse Festival of Movement Arts, Rubaboo Festival, SpringWorks, and the Gas Station Arts Centre. They are the former Associate Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre and have performed, taught, and directed improvisation in Atlanta, Detroit, Austin, Philadelphia, NYC, LA, Reunion Island, Vienna, Ljubljana, Montreal, Toronto, Yellowknife, Calgary, and Vancouver. He is co-creator of political satire comedy duo Folk Lordz (VICE). Ben is the winner of the 2016 Emerging Artist Award at the Mayor's Celebration for the Arts (Edmonton), the Anna Pidruchney Young Writers award, and a nominee for a Canadian Comedy Award and a Waterloo Region Arts Award. He is Creator and Executive Producer of CTV docuseries "MY PET ATE WHAT?", out now on Crave. They teach at UWaterloo, and hold an MFA from Brooklyn College-CUNY and a BFA from the University of Alberta.
