Pilgrims of Stoke is a collective of exemplary musician-singer-songwriters who each bring their own distinct flavor to the band. Performing this evening as a duo including band founder Nick Peters, a guitarist and singer who taps into jam band and roots music influences and Rob Morris a phenomenal bluegrass guitarist and thoughtful song crafter. Alexis Harte is a Peabody and Annie Awards winning singer-songwriter and composer. His musical roots span acoustic folk, British invasion, Americana, and electrified world-pop. In addition to sharing stages with the likes of Taj Mahal, Dar Williams, and Cat Power, Alexis placed numerous tracks from his 6 studio releases in films and TV. John Lester is a genre-defying artist who’s influences include rock, folk, Americana, world music, and jazz. His trademark solo performances feature John singing and playing with just his 100 year-old upright bass, named Sarah. He also uses live looping to perform on many other instruments at once, including a custom built 6 string bass guitar that is part fretless bass, part nylon string guitar. www.johnlestermusic.com
