Join the Urhall Pilgrimage to Rome in March, 2027!
500 years of Catholicism and 500 years of Protestantism. The Christian myth has left deep impressions in our Trolldom folk practices but also a church whos interpretation and actions sometimes stand in the way for modern practitioners to use the myth. We will be separating myth from ecclesiastical authority which refines the personal link to Christian mythology, reclaiming the individual mandate needed for spiritual practice.
We will trace the legacy of the Svartkonstböcker (Blackbooks) alongside Neoplatonic, Hermetic, Gnostic, and Mithraic influences, from which we got Maktord (words of power), spirit names, and angelic/daemonic lore and explore the locations where Dioscorides, Pliny, and Galen worked to compile what became the old western medicine.
We will Investigate the Sibyl prophetesses analogous to the Old Norse Völvas, alongside Orphic and Dionysian connections to Norse myth and prophecy practices—not as simple fortune-telling, but as revelators of transformative wisdom to enrich daily life.
