St Germans Priory
Join Lever Arts, the Cornish Musicians Ensemble and St Germans Priory Trust for a week of creativity, conversation and music inspired by the theme of pilgrimage.
Designed for people of all ages and backgrounds, Pilgrim Souls Arts Week explores pathways towards meaning, self-expression and connection with others through art, craft, music, storytelling and shared experience.
Cornwall’s first cathedral provides a unique setting to reflect on both physical and spiritual journeys while taking part in a varied programme of talks, creative activities, music and performances throughout the week.
Highlights include:
Monday 13 July
• Schools’ Pilgrim Badge Making (10am–3pm)
• Opening Artists’ Installations (7pm), featuring Richard Kenton Webb’s Passion and Jake Lever’s Pilgrimage through Eyes of Artist
Tuesday 14 July – 7pm
An evening of talks:
• Nigel Marns – Cornish Celtic Way
• David Richmond – Walks in Development
• Jake Lever – Pilgrimage through Eyes of Artist
Wednesday 15 July
• Losing Sight of the Shore – Creative Quiet Day (10am–4pm)
• Drawing the Sound with Sacred Space Healing & Red (6pm–9pm)
Thursday 16 July
• Tamar Yoga taster (10am)
• Cornish Musicians Ensemble (6pm)
• Storytelling Open Mic (7pm), including Dominica by Ann Foweraker
Friday 17 July
• Pilgrim Badge Making (11am)
• Concert of New Pilgrim Songs (7pm)
