A small-group experience integrating body-centered mindfulness into your Pilates practice for more resilient pain relief.
About this Event

Event Summary:

Living with recurring lower-back, hip, or knee discomfort?

Discover how somatics (i.e., body-centered mindfulness) can complement your Pilates practice, improve the way your hips and spine move, and help you respond to pain or discomfort more skillfully.

This experiential 90-minute workshop is limited to eight participants.

Event Description:

Pilates Meets Somatics is a small-group workshop designed to help you bring greater neuromuscular awareness, ease, and adaptability into your Pilates practice.

Through gentle movement, guided body-centered mindfulness, and practical somatic exercises, we will explore how your nervous system, attention, and movement habits influence the way your body responds during exercise.

Rather than forcing your body through discomfort or avoiding movement altogether, you will learn how to slow down, notice what is happening, and make more informed movement choices.

The workshop is experiential and accessible. You do not need previous experience with somatics, mindfulness, or meditation.

You’ll Learn How To:
  • Improve the coordination of your spine, legs, and hips
  • Recognize unnecessary tension during movement
  • Work with pain more mindfully
  • Strengthen your brain-body connection
  • Move more adaptively without immediately bracing or pushing away discomfort
  • Bring somatic awareness into your regular Pilates practice
