Lorelai Kuecker is the 17-year-old owner and artist behind Pigs in a Blanket Quilting and now the Fashion Brand, Lorelai Rae. She started her quilting journey at the age of 11 whenshe found a box of fabric strips cut out by her great-great-grandmother. Too stubborn to watch any tutorials, Lorelai used her fifth-grade math skills to piece these strips into a quilt,and she was hooked! She fell in love with free-motion quilting after using a long-arm for thefirst time,then began to explore quilted fashion.
Now, Lorelai makes one-of-a-kind quilted garments and has released her first fabric line with Northcott Fabrics called “Quilting in Bloom”! Her first book, Lorelai’s First-time Quilter’s Handbook, focuses on teaching young artists to quilt.
She’s bringing lots of her garments, samples from her new book, as well as all the fabrics and patterns from her new collection Quilting in Bloom. Event is free with a $5 registration fee to hold your spot and a $5 merchandise credit day of event.
