A year later and with two successful shows under their belts, Glowing Ember Records and The Owen Guns grunted and sniffed far and wide for the best truffles, yeah nah, that would be the hottest and sweatiest bands from across NSW and its northern border. Get ready for POOP #3, already cheekily referred to by our die-hard fans as "POOP th' turd.” They're a weird but loyal mob.
Leading the swine are SQUARE TUGS a straight up 3-piece Punk Rock band from Brisbane, Australia. They pounded the audience into submission at our first show in May 2024. Glad to have them back.
THE OWEN GUNS describe themselves as old-school punk with a sense of humour. Not young and not good looking. Well, you're not going to a fashion show, are ya? They have a new album coming out, be afraid!
Invading the floor from Newcastle are THE GROUNDS. We don't know much about them, but they're on the level. They've been hounding us for months for a spot in the pen. We hope they play nice?!
Middle of the pack goes to FLOWERS FOR JAYNE. Are they punk? Well, Jayne did play guitar in the Lime Spiders. Powerful tunes described around town as "having more hooks than a fishing trawler"!
THE SUGAR BEATS are cereal offenders, serving up Sweet Summer Fun wherever they play. The singer was in Nitocris many moons ago. Will femme punk ever die? Not this century!
Battling the often-raging storm waters of Lismore NSW, GUSSET RATS are a heavy-riff based punk band. Swamp rats in the swine pen? It's going to be chaos, because they're gunna go straight for the crotch, jugular ... wear protection!
Starting the mud fight will be curiously named Illawarra noise makers LITTLE GIRL LIKES HER BRAIN, rumoured to be time-travellers from the 90s with hefty femme power attitude.
There's another refugee from SE QLD boldly claiming MC rights to the pen. It's no laughing matter. Maybe they'll change that. More on that later ... follow the swill trail on our page for more curly tales.
Tickets on sale soon.
