Pierce Vendetta & Rick with War Pines at White Lilac

Local Listens at White Lilac is a series dedicated to showcasing the incredible original artists who call this region home — presented in an intimate listening room where every lyric, harmony, and musical moment can truly be heard.

This edition of Local Listens features two powerful and creative acts from the Kenosha music community.

Pierce Vendetta & Rick (PVR) bring their signature acoustic flair to the stage with a collection of original songs that highlight both their creative chemistry and seasoned musicianship. For more than 15 years, PVR has performed throughout the Kenosha area and beyond, earning airplay on WIIL, WLIP, and WMSE, and appearing on television programs including “Real Racine” and “The Morning Blend.”

Their performances blend rich three-part harmonies, an impressive range of instruments, and dynamic vocal styles, creating a sound that is heartfelt, versatile, and instantly engaging.

Sharing the evening is War Pines, a unique musical collective centered around songwriter Michelle Warnecke. Rather than a fixed lineup, War Pines brings together a rotating group of talented musicians who collaborate and reinterpret the material each time they perform.

Their music draws inspiration from soul, rock ’n’ roll, blues, funk, and indie, creating a sound that is both rootsy and exploratory.

For this performance the lineup features:

• Michelle Warnecke – bass, guitar, piano, vocals (Indigo Canyon, Malcolm Wright and the Wildflowers)
• Jason McNeill – piano, bass, guitar, vocals (Indigo Canyon, B33F, Mikii and the Fungiis)
• Michael Gieron – violin
• Emmanuel Fowlkes – drums, vocals, piano (Bodhicitta)

Together, these musicians create rich textures, spontaneous arrangements, and the kind of collaborative energy that makes every performance unique.
