Synopsis:
Pie in the Sky is a heartfelt story about two women, Dory (65) and her mother, Margaret (85), who share a quiet life together in a cozy mobile home in Abilene, Texas. One morning, Mama wakes with an irresistible urge to bake an apple pie. The clatter in the kitchen soon wakes Dory, who joins her mother, and the two begin baking and chatting. As the morning unfolds, their warm, easy conversation gently gives way to something more profound—Mama's tender effort to make peace with the past and help set Dory on a steadier path.
