Plain City is at a pivotal moment. The energy is building, from fresh ideas in Uptown to long-awaited park connections and mobility upgrades. Now is the time to pause, look around, and decide why and how we’ll reinvest, so today’s residents, businesses, and the next generation inherit a community that still feels unmistakably “Plain City.” 🕰️🚜🌾Join us from 5-6:30 p.m. on Monday, August 18, at the Plain City Municipal Building (800 Village Blvd, Plain City, OH, 43064) for the first "Picture Plain City Community Workshop" and help chart the course for a future that reflects your values and vision.

Together we will:
🌳Identify the places, traditions, and natural features we refuse to lose.
🏫Pinpoint smart investments that strengthen existing neighborhoods and businesses before we expand outward.
🛣️Capture the BIG ideas (housing choices, parks, safe streets, utilities) that will keep Plain City thriving for decades.
Picture Plain City will build on Plain City’s 2018 Comprehensive Plan and address land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, parks and recreation, economic development, and more. Based on projected population growth, Plain City is expected to transition from village to city status by 2030 under Ohio law. This shift will have implications for how the local government is structured and how services are delivered.
🗺️The Comprehensive Plan will help the Village prepare for this transition by identifying policies and infrastructure needs that support a successful and smooth changeover, while maintaining the community’s values and quality of life. Your insights will feed directly into the planning conversation and developing plan update, the roadmap that guides every major decision on land use, infrastructure, and community character.
