Work on your NaNoWriMo book and take the first steps to preparing your picture book text for either agent submission or self publishing! In this workshop students will learn the basics of assembling a picture book dummy, a mini version of their picture book used to pitch picture books to agents.
We’ll go over the publishing industry and how to get something published, as well as the basics of composition and how to assemble a book spread. We’ll do “thumbnail” sketches for all standard 32 pages, as well as a few more detailed drawings with help and tips from the instructor. By the end of the workshop you should have an idea of what to work on to complete your picture book, and how to put it together.
Please come to the workshop with a finished script for your picture book (less than 1000 words). All other materials are included with purchase of the workshop.
