Guest of Honour: Francesca Barbini

Francesca T Barbini is a writer, editor and translator from Rome, Italy. In January 2015 she founded Luna Press Publishing, an award-winning small press, home of speculative fiction in fiction and academia.

PictCon1 is a small convention, running just one day at the Salutation Hotel on South St, Perth. The focus is on Science Fiction and Fantasy books, games, art etc, produced in Scotland or by Scots, but there are no rigid rules. This is the first year.

We intend to have talks and panels. Initially just one track is planned, but there is a spare room for another, small track of workshops if people want to offer one.

If it becomes clear that people are coming in the night before, a social will be planned.

Dealers are welcome and tables can be bought along with a ticket.

[This first convention is being run as cheaply as we can manage it, so there will be no facility for hybrid participation, but we have made a ticket available for voice recordings of events, subject to the consent of participants.]
