Picnic in the Park!

Jointly organised by Gloucester Park Community Group and Bas Arts Index CIC, this free community picnic brings residents together through shared food, creativity, music, wellbeing and community connection.

This is a relaxed, family-friendly gathering bringing residents together through shared food, creativity, music, wellbeing and community connection. There will be gentle arts activities, space for children and families, local creative contributions, and some home-cooked community food tasters.

For us, creativity is not only painting or performance, it can also be cooking, gardening, making, sharing stories, caring for the park, and bringing people together. These picnics are about celebrating the everyday creativity that already exists in our community.

Everyone is welcome. Bring a picnic blanket, your own snacks or lunch if you’d like, and come spend time with neighbours in a welcoming outdoor space.

Please note: some community food tasters may be available, but this is not a fully catered event. Food will be prepared in home kitchens and labelled where possible. If you have allergies or dietary needs, please speak to the organisers before eating.
