Pickleball with a Purpose: Mind the Gap STL Fundraiser

For many, each day is about survival—finding shelter, staying warm or cool, and holding onto a sense of dignity in circumstances most of us will never fully understand.

Every Thursday, volunteers with Mind the Gap STL go out—rain or shine—to meet people right where they are. Not from a distance, but face-to-face.

We hand out food, clothing, hygiene items, tents, sleeping bags, and essential supplies. But more than that, we offer something just as important: a conversation, a smile, a reminder that someone sees them and cares.

This outreach is personal. It’s consistent. And it’s entirely supported by the quiet generosity of this small but determined group of leaders and volunteers.

OUR MISSION: To let our unhoused friends know that others do care about them and that we intend to do our best to help them in any way we can as they work through various life challenges complicated by homelessness.

This is where you come in.

We’re hosting this pickleball fundraiser to support this ongoing mission—so that every Thursday we can continue to show up prepared, equipped, and ready to serve.

THE EVENT DETAILS:

Paddle Up is a Pickleball club in the heart of 'The District' in Chesterfield. We are excited to have them as our event provider!

This will be a fun, beginner-friendly afternoon of pickleball, paddlestack style.

Whether you’ve played for years or are picking up a paddle for the first time, you’re invited. Even if you don't play but want to get to know the Mind The Gap Team, we'd love to have you!

Extra kudos to you if you could bring one of the following: New Socks , Underwear (men & women),Hygiene items, Feminine hygiene products, flashlights, large body wipes, etc.
