Pick up stitch: contemporary stitching workshop at Launceston Library
About this Event
Launceston Library, supported by Friends of the Library Launceston, invites you to join a cosy Winter Arts Workshop at the Library. This series of free workshops brings professional artists to the Library to share their skills in a range of different mediums. Suitable for adults aged 16+, with any level of experience.
Join artists from contemporary stitching group Stitching and Beyond as they generously share their knowledge and love of textile art. Pick up a needle and learn a few basic stitches and how you can push their possibilities. You get to delve into a fantastic fabric stash and embellish your own textile treasure to take away.
While you’re at the Library, why not join the Warm Winter Read! Pull up a chair, grab a hot drink and get reading. Warm Winter Read is a feel-good winter challenge for Tasmanians aged 16 and over. Join our statewide winter reading challenge and make it easy (and fun) to read a little more – or jump back into reading – across June, July and August. Warm Winter Read - Libraries Tasmania
