The three wonderful works on this programme were written at the end of the eighteenth century - and within 10 years of each other. All were written when their composers were doing very well - Mozart had premiered "The Marriage of Figaro", Haydn was on the second of his highly successful London visits and Beethoven was receiving great reviews as a composer and virtuoso pianist. In many ways the music on this programme reflects the extraordinary talents of all three composers.

They are played by Steven Devine - Artistic Advisor to the Richard Burnett Collection - and his regular piano trio collaborators, Caroline Balding and Andrew Skidmore. They have played together for many years and in many different festivals.
