Piano Salon Recital - Every Monday evening, the Podmaniczky Salon opens its doors for an exclusive piano recital performed on a beautifully restored Bösendorfer grand piano. Surrounded by elegant historic interiors and limited to a small audience, each concert offers a personal encounter with the masterpieces of classical music.
More than a concert
Forget large concert halls and crowded tourist attractions. At the Podmaniczky Salon, music returns to the atmosphere in which it originally flourished: an elegant salon where every note, every silence and every musical gesture can be experienced from just a few metres away. With only a limited number of guests at each performance, every recital becomes an intimate and memorable evening.
Premium Salon Experience ticket includes a premium seat for the concert, coffee, soft drinks, one glass of wine or sparkling wine, a small pastry selection, and a short English-language introduction to the concert programme. After the performance, guests may enjoy an informal conversation with the artists and take photos in the elegant atmosphere of the Podmaniczky Salon.
Meet the Pianist
Dr. András Suki is a Hungarian concert pianist, piano professor and researcher dedicated to sharing the richness of classical music with audiences of all backgrounds.
As the founder and artistic director of the Podmaniczky Salon, he created a unique venue where the atmosphere of the great European music salons is brought to life through intimate live performances. His recitals combine artistic excellence with engaging commentary, inviting listeners not only to hear the music but also to discover the stories, emotions and cultural context behind each work.
Performing on the salon’s historic Bösendorfer grand piano, he presents programmes ranging from the Romantic masterpieces of Liszt and Chopin to the expressive world of Bartók, Debussy and other great composers.
Whether you are an experienced concertgoer or discovering classical music for the first time, each recital offers an elegant and personal musical experience.
Rather than leaving immediately after the applause, guests are invited to spend a few moments with the artist. Questions, conversation and photographs are welcome, making the evening even more personal.
A historic Bösendorfer grand piano
The recital is performed on a carefully maintained Bösendorfer grand piano from around 1964. Its warm, lyrical tone blends beautifully with the intimate acoustics of the salon, creating an exceptionally rich listening experience. The piano’s finely regulated action allows for remarkable sensitivity and virtuosity, making it equally suited to the poetry of Chopin, the brilliance of Liszt and the elegance of Mozart.
