Marius, a winner of the prestigious Pathways to Jazz Awards, has established himself as a force in the jazz world since moving from Amsterdam to Brooklyn, New York.

He has performed and recorded with jazz greats such as Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts, Joel Frahm, Willie Jones III, Ingrid Jensen, and Sean Jones, among others. Marius has graced world-class stages like the North Sea Jazz Festival, Birdland Jazz Club, Smalls Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Club, Sony Music Hall, and the Bimhuis.

Marius’s latest album, *Blauw*, released on January 30, 2022, features his original compositions, with performances by Ingrid Jensen on trumpet, Doug Weiss on bass, and Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts on drums. In March 2023, Marius recorded his studio album *New York Knock* and a live album at Dizzy’s Club, both featuring an all-star lineup, including Sean Jones on trumpet and Willie Jones III on drums. The studio album *New York Knock* was released at a sold-out show at Dizzy’s Club on January 14, 2024.
